Jose “Ricky” Hernandez is the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Outpost Preparedness, where he helps turn leadership vision into execution by aligning company-wide priorities across products, consulting, and government contracting. Working closely with the COO and CEO, Ricky builds the operating rhythm behind the mission—defining measurable KPIs, tracking progress across initiatives, and keeping teams accountable to timelines, scope, and budget.

Ricky is a retired U.S. Marine Corps officer and seasoned operator known for building high-performing teams and bringing structure to fast-moving environments. His background spans operations leadership and program execution across both the public and private sectors, including roles in Marine Corps recruiting operations and aviation/air traffic control leadership, as well as private-sector senior operations leadership. He has also served as an EOS® Integrator and Director of Operations, helping organizations strengthen execution, clarify priorities, and scale sustainably.

At Outpost Preparedness, Ricky applies that same discipline to the world of readiness—helping ensure the company delivers practical, clarity-driven preparedness solutions that serve families, businesses, and institutions when it matters most.

Ricky holds Bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communication/Media Studies and Spanish Language and Literature from The University of New Mexico, and is currently a student at UCLA.
